Lara graduated from Duke University in 2020 with a B.S. in Environmental Sciences along with a Certificate in Documentary Studies. She has effectively translated scientific concepts through many different media and to engage a wide range of audiences. She hopes to grow and apply her skills in data analysis and visualization, leveraging data in the environmental field to inform adaptive decision-making and to advance science communication.
Alexandra Rivera is a member of Duke University’s Class of 2023. Her anticipated major is Civil Engineering with a certificate in Architectural Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. A similar project she is involved in includes modeling and visualization of aerosols on solar panels, an initiative in collaboration with research professors at Duke. Her long-term career goals would integrate travel with creative technical solutions to better represent the climate.
EeShan graduated from Duke University in 2015 with a B.S.E in Mechanical Engineering and is a PhD Candidate at the MIT-WHOI Joint Program. His research focus is on anticipating the physically-driven and stochastic uncertainties behind vertial sound speed structure that predicates autonomous underwater vehicle communication, navigation, and sampling. A welcome but unexpected part of this thesis work is designing tools and interactive data visualizations.
